New England Dwarf Car Series
Ryan Carman Captures First Career NEDCS Victory at Star Speedway
The New England Dwarf Car Series returned to action Saturday night at Star Speedway with an exciting feature event highlighted by a hard-fought battle between Tom Harwood and Ryan Carman for the top spot.
Harwood jumped out to the early lead in the No. 29 machine and paced the opening 14 laps of the feature, setting a strong pace around the fast Star Speedway oval. Behind him, Ryan Carman kept the pressure on throughout the race as the two drivers separated themselves from the rest of the field in a thrilling battle for the win.
Carman eventually found his way to the lead late in the event and held on to capture the feature victory in the No. 08 parking the car in Fabian Fuels of Dover, VT Victory Lane. Harwood stayed close to the checkered flag, finishing just 1.475 seconds behind in second.
Andrew Harmon put together an impressive drive through the field to finish third after starting deeper in the lineup. While Harmon steadily worked his way forward all race long, the battle for the lead remained primarily between Carman and Harwood.
Earlier in the evening, Harmon and Carman each picked up heat race victories to continue their strong nights.
Chris Sullivan showed impressive speed throughout the feature, recording the fastest lap of the race with a 14.269-second circuit on his way to a fourth-place finish. Kenny Scott Jr. completed the top five after another solid run in the 72.
The New England Dwarf Car Series returns to action this Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Monadnock Speedway for the next round of the 2026 season.
