The New England Dwarf Car Series rolled into Lee USA Speedway for the Pirates Cove Custom Services 25 as part of Russ Conway’s legendary Oktoberfest weekend. The 19-car field delivered another action-packed feature filled with drama, comebacks, and late-race intensity.
Heat Races
The day kicked off with a pair of highly competitive heats, claimed by Andrew Harmon and Tom Harwood, who once again showed why they’ve been front-runners all season.
Feature Recap
The feature event saw Zig Geno and Ronnie Carman bring the 19-car field to the green flag. Geno jumped out front early, leading the opening six laps before Andrew Harmon muscled his way to the lead. From there, Harmon never looked back—holding the top spot to the checkered flag and parking it in Fabian Fuels Victory Lane, sponsored in part by the Town of Dover, VT and grabbing the $500 payday from Pirates Cove Custom Services!
Behind him, the race saw its share of twists. Tom Harwood spun early after hitting fluid on the track but mounted an impressive charge through the field. By the closing laps, he was back in contention, hounding Harmon for the lead. However, with just two to go, Harwood slipped to third after Geno reclaimed the runner-up position. Rumor has it Harwood may have “strategically” let Geno by—grabbing the $400 third-place bonus in the process. Cody Hodgdon rebounded from an early spin to finish fourth, while Ronnie Carman held strong to round out the top five.
Special Thanks
A huge thank you goes out to Pirates Cove Custom Services for sponsoring the event and supporting the series.
SOS Towing also stepped up at the last minute, putting up a $300 bonus for the 9th-place finisher, which went home with Adam Bousquet.
Thank you to all the fans who came out to enjoy the show, and to every team and driver who made the trip to Lee USA Speedway for an incredible Oktoberfest weekend.
