New England Dwarf Car Series
Tom Harwood Parks It in Fabian/Mt Snow Fuel of Dover, VT Victory Lane at The New London-Waterford Speedbowl!
Waterford, CT- The New England Dwarf Car Series made its first two trips to the State of Connecticut and the New London-Waterford Speedbowl as part of their Blast Off Weekend! Despite forecasts earlier in the week that looked super unfavorable the track was gifted with a beautifully sunny and warm day. Tom Harwood in the 29 machine paced the first two rounds of practice and took the win in the lone heat race.
The four chip was pulled for the invert putting Jeremy Rodimon and the #23 on the pole. Harwood would have to start tail due to his win at the season opener. Bob Poloski, in the 8 lead the first lap of the race before surrendering the lead on lap 2. Zig Geno would take the lead and would try to get away from Harwood. Harwood was able to get to the inside of Geno on 4 and they would race side by side until Harwood wrestled sole possession of the top spot shortly after the halfway point. Harwood would hold on to take the win and park the #29 in Fabian/Mt Snow Fuel of Dover, VT Victory Lane sponsored in part by the Town of Dover, VT with Geno settling for 2nd and Chris Sullivan making his first start of the season with the series in his 0NO. Poloski held on for 4th and Kenny Scott Jr in the 72 rounded out the top 5.
We want to extend a node to Katie Buxton in the 55 who made her first ever start with the series and made huge strides throughout the day. We hope to see her race with us as often as she can!
