Cody Hodgdon Captures W&B Property Management 25 at Claremont Motorsports Park!

Claremont, NH- The New England Dwarf Car Series Presented by Construction Site Machinery in association with Bumpy’s Auto Service and Accelo Racewear took to Claremont Motorsports Park to kick off the 2024 season on a beautiful day for racing! We want to give a big thank you to W&B Property Management of West Dover, VT for sponsoring the race.

Veteran driver Chris Sullivan in his #0No led the way in both practice sessions. The first heat race was won on a late green, white, checkered finish by Cody Hodgdon (31) by a slim margin over Andrew Harmon (14). The second heat race was won by the 31H of Jason Hodgdon. After the invert for the feature the field would be set with Kenny “Caveman” Scott (72) and Sullivan found themselves starting on the front row.

Sullivan took the early lead and would pull away from the field early leading the first 8 circuits before Ryan Carman (08) with the rest of the top 5 in tow would catch up. Ryan Carman would take the lead on lap 9 but the one thing he didn’t want to see was a caution occurred on lap 13 as Rookie competitor Daniel Brofman (3NH) would spin in turn 4; unfortunately for Rookie driver Joe Acres (25x) he made hard contact with the wall ending his day trying to avoid Brofman. Cody Hodgdon would take the lead on the restart and would never look back on his way to starting the season out with a victory. Tom Harwood (29) running third on the restart made the pass for the second spot on lap 17 and would run out of time to run down the leader. Jason Hodgdon would then battle Ryan Carman for multiple laps swapping the third spot until finally taking sole possession of the spot on lap 20 but would run out of time to get around Harwood. Ryan Carman would hold onto fourth place and Sullivan rounded out the top 5.
