Hodgdon and Harwood Go to Fabian Fuel Victory Lane in the NEDCS VS Lil Rascal Twin 30’s at Riverside Speedway!
The New England Dwarf Car Series made its return to Riverside Speedway & Adventure Park on Saturday night, and it was a pair of familiar names—Cody Hodgdon and Tom Harwood—who etched their names into Fabian Fuel Victory Lane, each taking home a win in the Twin 30’s.
Feature #1 saw intense action right down to the final laps. Hodgdon’s #31 machine capitalized after a dramatic incident on lap 28, when Andrew Harmon (#14) made contact with a lap car while battling for the lead with Tom Harwood (#29). The contact sent Harwood spinning and into the pits, ending his shot at a win. Harmon was sent to the rear for the incident, opening the door for Hodgdon to cruise to the checkers.
Finishing second in impressive fashion was 12-year-old Connor Charbonneau, the youngest member of the Lil Rascals squad, piloting his #6 to a career-best runner-up finish. Joining him on the podium was fellow Lil Rascal driver Paxton Call, driving his traditional #2—renumbered #26 for the night in tribute to a friend.
Feature #2 had its own share of fireworks. Harmon rebounded from the first race to lead early, but a lap 11 restart gave Harwood the opportunity he needed. The veteran didn’t waste it—powering to the front and holding strong through the final laps for the win. Harmon settled for second with Hodgdon returning to the podium in third.
