New England Dwarf Car Series

Cody Hodgdon Tames the Dog!

Winchester, NH- Mother Nature tried to rain on our parade again but this time did not prevail! 16 dwarf cars rolled into Monadnock Speedway looking to tame the new pavement laid before last season. Unfortunately Bob Poloski driver of the #26 experienced engine failure before hitting the track.

Tom Harwood and Cody Hodgdon paced the top of the charts in practice! Harwood and Andrew Harmon took down the heat race wins. Based on qualifying and handicapping Kenny Scott Jr and Jeremy Rodimon would lead the field to green for the 25 lap feature.

Completing lap 1 Rodimon would slow and exit the track but his car would die on the track exit road bringing out the caution. Zig Geno and Miller Buzzell would restart on the front row but on lap 3 Buzzell would make contact with the left rear of Geno sending them both spinning with Buzzell making hard contact with the backstretch wall. This would bring out the red flag due to the location of the cars. Both drivers would walk away from the incident. Caden Robert’s was also involved but was able to return.

Cody Hodgdon would inherit the lead and on the restart would rocket back out to the lead. He would start to feel pressure just before the halfway mark as Harwood caught up. Cody Hodgdon had zero room for error as Harwood applied pressure lap after lap as they worked lapped traffic. Cody Hodgdon was up the task as he collected the win parking it in Fabian Fuels Victory Lane sponsored in part by the Town of Dover,VT! Harwood settled for 2nd and Harmon rounded out the podium as he ran out of time to reel in the top two!

Jason Hodgdon, coming off a rough day last time out at Hudson, finished 4th and Ronnie Carman continues his strong sophomore season with another top 5 finish! All cars in the top 5 passed tech, where shocks were checked.

We want to thank Monadnock Speedway for having us back this season and look forward to our return in August. We want to thank Randy Wheelock for the invite to series owner Ryan Lawliss for joining them on the Checkered Flag Report on Bear Country 95.3 and for the cool frisbee’s handed out to the fans by series drivers!

Our next race is June 7th as we return to New London-Waterford Speedbowl in Waterford, CT! Hope to see you at the track!
